SiteReptile Website Builder
Website Installation
The tutorial provided here is for using the SiteReptile website builder. Some instructions may differ depending on the web host's set up.
You should access the builder from a separate browser window. This is especially necessary if your ISP is AOL.
Note:If you want the option of changing templates after you've started editing your website, please read the message provided below.
Installing your website is a simple 3 step process. To start, access the builder at:
builder.yourwebhost
You must be registered to use the builder.
The first screen gives you an overview of the 3 step process.
Click Go or Start Building

The next is just a login in screen where you fill in your domain name, your cpanel/ftp username and your password.
Click the Next button to start the installation.

The next screen will display your template choices.
There are 28 pages of templates totalling 330.
They are not categorized so the only way to see them all is to click on the page numbers between the brackets.
You can move forward and backward.

Select your template and it appears in the next screen shown below.
If this is your final choice click Next - Step 3.
You can start the selection process over by clicking in the left hand window.

Fill in the company information and select a few web pages that you want in the initial set up.
It's easy to change and add new pages after the initial site is built, so you don't need to worry about being real specific.
Note: If you are going to be installing multiple templates, leave this info as is and proceed to the next step.
When you're finished Click Go - Install My website and you'll get a reaction like the screen shown below.

If the installation completes you'll get a congratulation screen with a link to access the website editor.

If you want to install multiple templates, restart the builder and repeat the process!!
If you have problems, remember to access the builder from a separate browser window.
You can access the editor anytime by appending /admin to your domain name.
Ex. yoursubdomain/admin
Installing Multiple Templates
If you want the option of changing skins or templates after you've started the construction of your actual site, you must upload the templates that you want to use NOW!!.
If you like more than one of the templates and think you might want to change later, you must upload the templates, before you start adding new pages and page content.
If you are planning on uploading a logo, you may want to upload more than one template. Some of the templates work better than others for this option.
To install multiple templates on your account, run through the 3 step process, Click the Install My Website button and then go back and start the installer again. Repeat the process for each template that you think you might want to use.
To speed the process, don't fill in your company information. Just leave the default info as is. All of this information can be added later from your configuration screen.
If you try to add a new template later on after you've started constructing your website, you'll lose all of the content and the extra web pages you've added.
If you upload the templates before you start, then changing skins or templates mid stream is just a matter of clicking the name of the desired template on your config page.
